As a Hong Kongers who migrated to New Zealand in 2018, we embarked on a flavorful quest to bring a taste of home to our new community. Upon arrival, we quickly realized there is not many options for Cantonese cuisine, such as Dim Sum, Dumplings, especially the authentic Fish Siu Mai, a beloved staple of Hong Kong street cuisine.
In 2023, fueled by our passion and a longing for the familiar flavors of home, we embarked on a journey to craft our own Fish Siu Mai. However, our initial attempts met with little success. We learnt from each attempts and dived into a year of relentless investigation, meticulous tasting sessions, and countless recipe refinements. Finally, our Fish Siu Mai recipe met our expectation.
